Alisun Dawson is a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor, Total Barre™ Qualified Instructor, Personal Training Specialist, and former dancer. Her training in various forms of human movement therapy including Pilates began at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia in 1996. With a diverse education and over 25 years of teaching experience in dance and movement therapy, Alisun enjoys helping people to increase their body awareness, relieve physical pain, and to achieve their health and wellness goals.
Alisun has had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of people from athletes and fire fighters to new Moms and office workers. She has helped to strengthen and rehabilitate clients with back pain, neck pain, hip and knee replacements, ankle and shoulder injuries, as well as numerous musculo –skeletal injuries and disorders. Alisun trains pre and post natal clients, as well as those suffering from chronic conditions such as scoliosis, osteoporosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and various neurological disorders.
Some of the benefits of Pilates include injury prevention, pain management, mental wellbeing, improved posture, stability, core and back strength, increased flexibility, balance and coordination. At the end of a Pilates session, you will leave feeling confident, taller, and more energized! Alisun is open to instructing people of all ages and backgrounds.
