After 10 years working in the busy entertainment industry, Danyel became increasingly aware of the benefits that come with taking breaks and time for self-care. She decided to pursue a career in massage therapy, and graduated from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic. She is passionate about helping others achieve their optimal health, and finding the underlying issues which have led to their pain. She is trained in various Swedish massage techniques, trigger point release, myofascial work, stretching, and joint mobilization.
Danyel believes that education is an ongoing endeavour which facilitates personal and professional growth and will lead to consistent therapeutic effects for her patients. She believes that relaxation-based massage is just as important as a treatment-based practice and she strives to combine both in an artful and effective manner, to balance her patient’s physical and emotional well-being and connect them to their bodies. Danyel adapts each treatment to be deep or gentle based on what is needed and what feels good and healthy to each unique client.
Danyel has experience working with a variety of clients including seniors, athletes, and patients dealing with anxiety, depression, and mental health concerns. Outside of massage, her favourite things are film, exploring nature, cycling, yoga, and flower arrangements.
Danyel is a member in good standing of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO)
